Hiring dentists in Prague

Finding a dentist (zubař) who explains treatment options clearly in English makes a big difference, especially when you are weighing up costs.

What to consider when choosing a dentist

  • New patients. Some practices do not take new patients. Ask whether you can register (registrace) or only book one-off treatment.
  • Insurance and costs. Ask which treatments are covered by your health insurance and which are paid directly. Practices usually have a price list (ceník).
  • Treatment plans. For larger work, ask for a written treatment plan with costs before you agree.
  • Emergencies. Ask how the practice handles urgent appointments, and check the current emergency dental service (zubní pohotovost) before you need it.
