What to consider when choosing a mechanic

Describe symptoms, not guesses. When does the problem happen, what does it sound or feel like, and is a warning light on? A short video helps.
Agree how extra work is approved. Ask the garage to call or message you before doing anything beyond the agreed job.
Ask for the old parts. It is a reasonable request and a good sign of transparency.
Technical inspection. Cars registered in the Czech Republic need periodic technical inspections (STK). Many garages can prepare your car for it.
